Yes. Version 1.0 adds online multiplayer for up to 4 players using a host-island system. Progress is not shared.
No. Official 1.0 notes say cross-platform multiplayer is not supported. The studio is looking into it.
Not required for 3-heart stories — official news says existing 3-heart saves unlock the new stories. Start fresh only if you want the full intro again.
It is locked behind early Island Life / profession progress, not available on a brand-new file. Community reports point to Island Life tasks; the official site posted a step-by-step unlock guide.
